Must-have beauty treats for your makeup bag this Valentines weekend!

I have created two different makeup looks to finish Valentine's week!

One is a softer natural makeup style, and the other a slightly more glamorous look to create for yourself.

For the eyes

Eyeshadow & Liner

Day-Date: For this look that I have in mind, I suggest you apply a very light layer of the lightest shade of eyeshadow powder from the NYX Ultimate palette/warm neutrals to set the primer in place before it creases. This will Make it easier to move to blend the eyeshadow into place without getting it stuck to the lid.

Then use the pearly nude to shimmer out the lid (pearly nude! I don't know how else to describe it! Haha!)

You can use either of those darker shades, applying from the middle to the outer corner and keep blending out to create a very subtle, smokey eye.

It's as easy as that!

There is no reason why you can't use any of the darker shades to create a more dramatic look, but I'm going for a softer style here.

Line the outer corner with NYX Professional Makeup Epic Wear Long Lasting Liner Stick. It is a simple neutral brown shade, then smudge through with a small Brush.

Date Night: Use a dark purply/navy/reddy black shade. I never use just a flat black I like to add a tone so a touch of purple, blue, orange, red.

You get the idea! This is one of my most used darker shades and has a slight hint of a dark plum/purple shade running through it. As you are not using a flat black, it will leave a softer feel to your smokey eye.

Use liquid eyeliner for a dramatic line. I love Rimmel Wonder'Ink Liquid Eye Liner Apply just to the outer corners for a tiny little flick.

Try Bobbi Brown Luxe Rich Sparkle Eye Shadow in moonshine pat this onto the middle of the lid with a small clean eyeshadow brush. This will add a tiny hint of shimmer to your look without looking like you have been to Santa's Grotto, and gone crazy with the glitter!

The eyeshadow I used, I believe is a pro shade, but you can get a similar one here with a sot blue/grey feel

For the Face

Foundation

Day-Date: For a glowy light wear foundation, MAC Studio Face and Body Radiant Sheer Foundation

is perfect. Apply as many applications as you like and gently build it up. I prefer two applications of any foundation ( I have a lot of redness on my cheeks, I can't help it, I blush!), so this one is a sheer foundation, I do apply multiple layers for a fuller but still glowy coverage.

Night: I absolutely Love Armani Luminous silk foundation.

I also apply two layers of this, it is also a natural light foundation, but it does have higher coverage than the Mac Face and Body. It leaves a dewy effect but, It will look a little heavier if you have very dehydrated skin. Even so, I do tend to use this foundation on almost every bride, skin type dependant, once they have followed my skincare advice to get their skin hydrated.

Good skin doesn't just happen overnight.

For the undereye

Concealer

Day-Date: Try NARS Cosmetics Radiant Creamy Concealer again this can look a little heavier on dehydrated skin.

I would apply the smallest amount in the inner and outer corner of the under eye area, blend and tap through with a beauty blender patting it into the skin.

Date Night: I would choose a slightly heavier concealer for a fuller coverage to last into the night. I have used and never veered from, just yet, Mac pro-long wear concealer. Apply a little in the outer and inner corners of the undereye area, blend and tap through with a beauty blender patting it into the skin. You can apply this a little heavier than you would do a daytime look.

For those Cheeks

Blush

Day: Try MAC cream Blush in Bamboo. I love cream blush, and I think I use it in almost any makeup application look that I create.

I then go in with a little bit of powder blush if I feel it needs a little something else, I would use Benefit's Hoola Light blush. This blush is a lighter shade of brown than the original Hoola, and I would highly recommend it for a fairer complexion.

Night: I love MAC cream blushes, as you can tell. MAC Coral is a warmer shade but is a step up from the daytime look of bamboo.

Start by adding less and then add more for a slighter dramatic look.

I would then go in with Anastasia's Powder Bronzer in Cappuccino. It is dark, so use it sparingly and apply more as desired!

For those Lips

lipstick

Day-Date: I love Kiko 316 Velvet passion/ Vintage pink. This is another favourite of my brides, It is still a deep lip shade with a hint of pink, but it's not as dramatic or bold as a red lip. Vintage Pink is a flirty, softer alternative for that perfect pout!

Date Night: Always MAC Ruby Woo red lipstick without a doubt! There's just something about the colour red, love, passion, and all that stuff! I really love a red lip, it makes me feel so confident, powerful, and of course a little bit sexy when I add a shade of red to my lips.

Arch those Brows

Brow stuff

Day-Date: Anastasia's Brow wiz is an absolute favourite for me. I love to create little hair strokes with the tiniest brow pencil ever! It is perfect for daytime, or if you generally like a softer brow.

Shop that here Anastasia's Brow wiz

Date-Night: Another of Anastasia's brow creations, It's the Brow pomade! Use whichever shade or shades you like, but it is a dead cert for a strong powerful brow!

Shop that here Brow pomade!

Flutter those lashes!

Mascara & Lashes

I will finish where I started, with those eyes.

Day-Date: This one is easy peasy. Swipe on two coats of Maybelline Mascara Lash Sensational and you are good to go.

Date-Night: Swipe on two coats of mascara and then Flutter with any lashes that you like!
