I have just checked in with the weather for this year's V-day weekend but the weekend doesn't have to be a washout, it's just looking a little dull.
So here are 9 date ideas to keep you entertained as you make V-day a three-day event, spanning the entire weekend, because why not?
1 Grab a coffee and go for a walk.
Cheap and cheerful date out. We love spending our Sunday mornings mooching around our local area and catching up on how our past week has been. It's amazing how much you can talk about, discuss and get ticked off your list when there is no distraction from the TV or scrolling social media. It's nice to get up early before the world starts to wake up and get outside into the brisk winter air. It's not long until spring arrives so we are trying to make the most of the pretty winter walks before our next adventure begins.

2Movie Night
You can turn your home into your very own movie theatre. Set the scene (excuse the pun) , bring the duvet in or use a cosy throw to snuggle up on the sofa. Light some candles, and create an ambience. Choose a film from your want-to-watch list and share the biggest bowl of popcorn that you can find. Lidl does popcorn buckets to make you feel like you are in a real American movie theatre. Turn your phone off, no one can tell you to shush which is great as I talk all the way through and at home you can skip the credits! Win!
3 "Takeaway Vs Fake-away"
Order your favourite takeaway. I'm not a takeaway person so it is rare for me to have one, so this will feel like a treat. A night off from cooking is always a bonus!
Saving money, create your own "Fake-away". It doesn't have to be expensive and creates a lot of passion in the Kitchen! Cooking is far more fun when it is done together.
Not really one to cook, so why not get one of those deals from M&S or Waitrose? Most Supermarkets will be doing a Valentine's Foodie deal so there is bound to be something that you can get.

4 Host the girliest ever "Galantine's" date night for your girls!
Invite all the girls over and host a "Galantine's" night! Get comfy in your PJs, make some pink cocktails and get the pamper session started. Put on a chick flick or some classic cheesy comedy and stuff your face with popcorn! Keep the pink prosecco flowing!
Or doll yourself up, slip on that little black dress, swipe on that red lip and hit the town. Sip on a few Martini and have a good dance with the girls. Either way, the love from your friends will always lift you and give you all the love you need.

5 Make precious memories exploring a new town or City.
Put another pin in the Map and head off to a new wish list location. Find a cute little town that you have always wanted to explore and head out to see the sights. It doesn't have to be an expensive flight, you can visit almost anywhere in the UK by train or car. We love exploring new Towns and cities, we are so lucky to have travel at our fingertips.
6 Have a Late-night Fish supper at the Seaside!
Get in the car and have a late-night drive in search of a fish and chip supper!
This has always been on my list of spontaneous things to do. Just get in the car and drive to the nearest seaside. Share a bag of chips on the shorefront, listen to the waves come crashing in and eat the freshest fish you will ever taste. Who knows you might end up skinny dipping in the sea!

7 Bake your wedding cake.
This one is for "The Married" couples. Why not try and recreate your version of your wedding cake together? This could be entertaining and of course, you could have a mini 'Bake Off' competition if you both have a little competitive side. It can be a fun flirty way to bring yourselves together and remember a day that you will never forget!

8 Create an at-home Brunch.
I love to have brunch on my day off. It is my favourite time of the day. I love a big healthy breakfast. I practice intermittent fasting so a brunch will ensure I am still meeting my macros whilst still reaching my fasting window.
I love to have eggs, avocado and toast, protein pancakes, waffles, fruit and maple syrup, or Greek yogurt! Sometimes both sweet and savory to hit my protein goals. But these are a brunch must!
9 Cook a dish each.
This is as simple and easy as it sounds!
Decide on the cuisine that both of you would like to eat for your V-day meal. One of you can make the starter and the other can make the Main. Don't worry about the third course as we all know you won't make it to dessert anyway.
Here are a few of my date ideas without breaking the bank to keep you entertained this Valentine's weekend! St Valentine's Day falls on a Friday So that leaves us 3 days to celebrate the Love.
How will you spend yours?
Love Hay x
