10 Makeup products to create that Valentine's look: Date night or just hanging out with the girls

Unsure of what makeup to wear for your valentines date, I have included a few ideas below that will have your date sweeping you off your feet or just that little pick-you-up you need for a night out with the girls!

Face the glow

Mac Studio Face and Body Radiant sheer foundation gives a healthy glow. What I love about this product is that you can apply it to the driest of skin to leave you glowing all day long. I wouldn't advise it if your skin is naturally "over-moisturised" (greasy).

Armani luminous silk leaves a luxurious feel with the lightest layer. These foundations can be applied in a light layer or built up to add a fuller heavier coverage. However, if you haven't been looking after your skin the Armani tends to appear 'heavier'. If you are opting to use a luxury product, make sure you are treating your skin the same way by taking good care of it. I love these foundations; they are always in my kit for any bridal party or glam occasion.

Feeling cheeky

Dare to try Red! MAC powder blush in Fever is a beautiful shade of scarlet. Slightly softer than red wine, this colour will silkily add the subtlest hint of red to those cheeks and build it up slowly to increase the intensity as you wish.

Play it safe with Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic pillow talk blush. This perfect soft blush has luminous gold flecks to leave you with that first date flush.

Smolder those eyes

If you fancy a warm darker smokey eye, I would pick Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow talk dreams luxury palette. It's too dreamy not to try. You can create many soft or smokey looks with its dusty rose and soft pinky browns. The shadows have a slight pearly effect to leave you shimmering away. You can build on these shades to add depth to the outer corners to create that perfect soft valentine's smokey eye.

To turn up the heat, I would add a flick of Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in black.

If you fancy something a little softer and more matte to blend in with your nudes, I love Revolution's Forever flawless Affinity Palette. I have been using this a lot lately as it has a nice variety of natural warm shades that give me a soft subtle look by day and then add a shimmer shade to spice up the evening.

Flutter those Lashes

Why not try Bobbi Brown's smokey eye Mascara in black? I am crazy about the intensity of the black tint in this shade. It is the blackest black. Swipe on a few layers and flutter away.

Perfect that Pout!

Show your nudes with Charlotte Tilbury's perfect shade of nude lipstick. In love with Olivia has subtle hints of peach, which makes this lipstick shade my go-to for any occasion lately. The description suggests that it is 'pretty in pink'. I am wearing it as I type, and I would say it is more on the warmer side, I would say a 'peachier pink'. It has a light dewy texture with glossy vibes, perfect for that date night or a daytime trip to where you first met.

Are you Feeling a little frisky? Why not swipe on the colour of love in its boldest form? Without a doubt, I would always choose MAC Ruby Woo. It is one of my most used reds, a lifetime classic (I hope). I love how striking this shade is, that with a perfectly applied pout your other half will not be able to resist.

Happy V day! xxx
